One of the only remaining vestiges of the Saadian Empire
This place “testifies the power and refinement of the Saadian Empire”. It encloses a magnificent flowered garden.
This necropolis was enlarged and embellished by Ahmed El Mansour, son of Mohamed Cheikh who was buried there in the 16th century. He built there the Quobba (cupola) having his mother's name. It's the first mausoleum.
The second one encloses three rooms decorated with cedar ceilings and stuccos. The tombs are in Carrara marble.
Open everyday from 09:00 am to 12:00 am and from 02:30 pm to 06:00 pm. Entry for 10 dhs.
