One of the most splendid monuments of the ochre city!
Built in the 12th century par the Almohade sultan Abdelmoumen and completed by Yacoub El Mansour, The Koutoubia has a luxurious decoration and a wonderful architecture with 77m height, 16 peripheral naves and one central nave.
The “Libraries Mosque” (meaning of the Arabic word) has inspired the architects of the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat.
